Dear Lakewood Little League Families:
ANGELS GAME: We still have a few tickets ($16 each) for Little League Day at Angel Stadium this Sunday, April 7. If you are interested, please contact Amber Murakami from the Farm Dodgers at 714-808-3013 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
All players must wear their jerseys and hats to participate in the Little League parade.
· Parade line will begin at 10:30 am outside of Gate 6. Please meet us there. Participating players must line up at this time. Managers, Coaches and Team Parents will supervise children.
· Late arrivals cannot participate.
· Parade starts at 11:30 at Gate 6 and will exit at the left field tunnels.
· Family members can enter in through Gate 6 and 4 beginning at 11:30 am to view parade.
LAST SAFETY CLASS: The LAST safety class will be held on April 8, 2019. You MUST have a Little League safety card to participate as a volunteer at practices or games, or be in the dugout. A safety card is good for three years. The location is Simms Park, 16614 Clark Av., Bellflower 90706, Rms 3 & 4 from 6-8 pm. Registration begins at 5:30.
You MUST HAVE proof of your concussion protocol certificate to attend. You can completeconcussion training at https://www.cdc.gov/headsup/youthsports/training/index.html Please bring a hard copy of electronic copy of your certificate to the training.
FAMILY FUN DAY – MAY 5: Family Fun Day is around the corner on Sunday, May 5. Each team will organize their own potluck. The League will organize fun activities for the kids and host an adult softball tournament and adult home run derby. Each team will be responsible for creating a $100 gift basket for the League raffle. More details will be sent out soon.
CSULB DIRTBAGS GAME – May 23: We will travel as a League to the CSULB Dirtbags game on Thursday, May 23. The League will receive $2 from each ticket sold. More details can be found on our Facebook page.
50/70 INTERMEDIATE DIVISION: We are developing a Lakewood Little League 50/70 Intermediate division for players ages 11-13. This division runs CONCURRENTLY with our existing teams. To prepare for this division, we are holding weekly skills clinics for any Lakewood player age 7 and above. This Sunday, April 7, we will meet at Rynerson at 9 am to get in a quick workout before Little League Day. Join us and find out more information.
