QUICKBALLQuickball is structured for our youngest ballplayers. This division partners skills development with fun. Players will learn baseball basics - proper fielding, throwing and hitting using specially developed programming which uses easy to understand terms and easy to practice techniques. We recommend players true age 3* and 4 who are new to baseball to participate in this division.
Teams in this division are kept small so coaches can provide quality attention to their teams. This division also requires high parent participation. We invite all parents to participate in the practice sessions. If you are looking for an entry level baseball program with 1:1 attention and easy to learn concepts Quickball is the division for your child.

The Farm division is typically for league age 6-7, who have already played at the Coach Pitch level and are ready for more structure. This level utilizes a machine pitch (35 MPH), helping players build fundamental baseball skills such as:
• Hitting from a live pitch (Machine).
• Fielding and understanding basic field positions.
• Learning base running beyond simple running to a base.
• Building teamwork and sportsmanship.
*We recommend if your player is brand new to baseball and has a 2025 league age of 6 years old, that you sign up for Coach Pitch.
MINOR B
Minor B Baseball is for players league age 8 and 9. This is a player pitch division and players will continue to build on the fundamentals of hitting and fielding.
• Minor B is the first introduction to competitive baseball
• Pitch counts will be tracked and enforced based on Little League Requirements
• After 4 balls delivered by the player, a coach will be allowed to pitch to the player for the first half of the season
MINOR AMinor A is for players league age 9-11 who are continuing to develop their abilities in a competitive baseball environment.
Minor A is Lakewood Little Leagues' highest Minor division before moving on to Little League Majors baseball. Minor A is a fully kid-pitch division for players who are ready for more competitive play. Players begin to face more game-like situations with a focus on skill development and game strategy.
*We recommend if your league age 9 player has never played baseball before, that you sign up for the Minor B division.
MAJORSMajors Baseball is for boys and girls 11-12 years old who are refining all the skills they have been building up in the Minor divisions in this next stage of competitive baseball.
Majors Baseball is also known as the Little League Baseball Division. As a Competitive Division, the primary goals of Majors Baseball are to create a fair and balanced competition throughout the division, provide a suitable vehicle for team and individual skills development and stage the players for much higher levels of play.
The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet.
