The Lakewood Little League baseball program is a nonprofit organization that builds leadership, baseball skills, teamwork and discipline. We take pride in bringing together boys and girls from the city of Lakewood to learn life lessons through organized baseball. We encourage good sportsmanship and respect for our community and each other. We foster team unity and are focused on keeping youth sports in its proper perspective. All our volunteers are dedicated to making your child's experience a positive one.
We have baseball opportunities for boys and girls, ages 4-16. We also have a Challenger division, for youth and young adults with special needs. Welcome to Lakewood Little League.
Sign up for our 3rd Annual Fireworks Fundraiser!
This fundraiser is essential for getting field improvement projects done (new dugouts, fencing, batting cages, etc). The league operates and maintains the three fields at Rynerson Park.
You can support the league by: 1) signing up to volunteer and 2) drive business to our booth by spreading the word.
Incentives for volunteers: For every shift you work, you will be entered into a drawing for THE BIG BANG !!! (value $600). Plus if you work on the 4th, you will be able to purchase fireworks at 25% OFF. Refreshments/snacks to be provided during shifts. Kids under 18 are not allowed in the booth but are encouraged to come in uniform and wave signs to attract customers. They will be given a treat for their work.
Incentive for spreading the word:
Download the flyer below attached and write your child's name on it (siblings on same flyer) and distribute/post on social media. For every flyer shown at the booth with your child's name on it, you will earn an entry into a drawing for FREE REGISTRATION in 2021!

Opening Day – March 7
Calling all Lakewood Little League families! Opening Day is this Saturday, March 7.
Please plan on arriving at 9:30 am in full uniform. Teams should line up along the fence of the Middle Field at Rynerson Park. The ceremony will start at 10 am and conclude by 11 am. We will announce each team and draw the raffle ticket winners. Lunch will be served afterwards, with priority given to teams that have the 12:30/1pm games.
We will also be selling:
All money will go towards upgrading and maintaining our three fields and Snack Shack. Lakewood Little League operates these facilities – they are 100% volunteer-driven.
Make sure to leave extra early to account for the Lakewood Community Run (multiple street closures) and limited parking. You may park along both sides of Studebaker Rd and take extra caution crossing the street.
We encourage families to bring EZ ups, tables, and chairs to picnic with their teams for Opening Day. The snack bar will not be open, so bring plenty of snacks and drinks for your family.
Snack Shack Sign Ups
The Snack Schedule will be available for sign-ups starting on March 7. The link will be emailed to team moms and placed on social media. Each player’s family must work (2) - 2.5 hour shifts to have their deposit returned.
We look forward to seeing you Saturday. Go Lakewood!
Dear Lakewood Little League families:
With the news of the increasing spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to inform you that Little League International is taking this situation very seriously. Little League International is monitoring the situation closely, and we are advising all leagues to follow the guidelines set by the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the state’s public health department (click here for a listing of state public health departments), and other county and/or local authorities including area school districts and government agencies.
Little League International encourages all those that are actively participating in their Little League seasons – including players, volunteers, families, and fans – to follow the best practices as outlined by the CDC, which include washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (if soap and water are not available, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer); avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands; and avoid close contact with people who are sick.
We would also encourage you all to limit close, physical contact with others (including shaking hands). Click here to learn more about the CDC recommendations.
Also, if you or your child are ill; have a fever, cough, or respiratory condition; have a compromised immune system; are in any other group that may be at an increased risk of contracting a virus like the coronavirus; or have recently traveled to a country listed on the CDC’s Risk Assessment by Country, we encourage you or your child to refrain from Little League-related activities until cleared by your healthcare provider.
Lakewood Little League will be cleaning and sanitizing hard surfaces and shared equipment that our league utilizes; tipping caps/visors instead of shaking hands at the end of a game; making sure all players have their own water/drink bottles and are not sharing; (working with the City of Lakewood) stocking bathrooms and concession stand areas with soap and hand sanitizer; and, if any volunteers are uncomfortable attending a game, practice, or Snack Shack shift, please let us know.
As the situation continues to develop, we will do our best to continue to keep our leagues, volunteers, and families informed.
